I'm super excited to be here and you can call me Fenix. (or just hey you or whatever). And I'm bringing with me this woman, Leaf, from a dark AU of Pokemon.

In a big, big nutshell, it's not only a much darker world with some very different mechanics, but there's no real world locations at all. In this AU, humans are power-hungry, greedy and generally Not Nice people who treat pokemon like disposable tools and weapons for the most part. Those that treat them as friends etc are either forced to hide their views(such as Leaf), outcasts or Rangers.

Arceus is God, and Legendries are lesser gods called Immortals and while pokemon are at times revered.. all humanity sees, mostly, is something to be used and caught (if they can, though Immortals have their own lines of defense)

Leaf herself? Her name is Fumiko Kasahara. She' s 19, the Kantou champion and comes across as something of an airhead that's painfully polite and speaks extremely polite Japanese. An added note is that I will be using the Japanese names in Leaf's dialogue, though not in narrative. Basically, something like this:

"My name is Fumiko. I come from Sekichiku City and my best friend is Anzu-chan." But Leaf really means she comes from Fuchsia city and is best friends with Janine.

Leaf does make use of Japanese honorifics, so please head over here if you get confused. Her app, with a full run down of her world can be found here. There's a HMD as well, so feel free to hit that up if you think that I need it, along with pokemon here, though the only two she has are the Natu and Rapidash, as per mod approval. Oh and her permissions post is here.

Here's the latest plot update, and it includes a quick-time event, which means we've got some work to do, y'all! And fast!

Long story short, Proctor needs people to turn stuff on. We can do this in groups, or we can do it individually, or whatever. The point is, we need people to contact Proctor on that post and get some directions, and then follow them. Otherwise, life support (et al.) is not gonna be turned back on and I don't know about you guys, but I don't want to die already. ^^;;

Is your character up for the task? Are they sitting this one out? Are you looking for someone to join up with? Do you want to go it alone? Do you have any thoughts, ideas, comments etc that you want to share with the class? That's what this post is for! Go ahead and mingle! Post whatever OoC stuff you want here for the sake of organization and finding yourself some CR!

As it's figured out who is doing what, I can edit this post to reflect the different groups doing different things, and provide links if y'all want/if it's necessary. I don't mind at all. o/

Croix has already enlisted the help of Fuu for this task, but they're going in a pair (at least for now). Proctor has asked Flynn, Hawk and Terezi to join in. Assuming they don't say no, I think we need at least two more people for this! Any takers? Remember, we can also go in pairs/groups/etc if you don't want to go alone!

I mean, clearly AIR is just A LITTLE MORE IMPORTANT than replicating food or hot water, but those would be nice too. Just saying.

I hope it's all right to post this here! As some of you know, I've been working on sprites for our entire cast and DKDJNSKDKSD I'M FINALLY DONE /o/

It was a pretty long and hard battle. I spent so many nights weeping over the complex designs...... ;_; LOL, just kidding! (I did curse out people who designed armor and bikini-dancer girls though, whoops...)

Anyway, check them out! Our ENTIRE CAST in sprite form! Feel free to use them for whatever. I went into this canon-blind for most of them, so if I did anything wrong, do tell me and I'll fix it. :')

Slowatus

Okay...I should have done this a week ago, but I've been stubborn like, "Nooo, the game just opened! I'll find time, really!" The truth is, RL is hitting me hard right now, and my RP time is very limited. So, I'm going to call a proper slowatus--I'll try to tag some when I can, but it will probably be few and far between. This affects Sophie Hatter from now (well, last week) until June 5. And then I'll be looking forward to diving properly into the game!

Troll Text Permissions Request!

Hello, Luministi! Boba here. With the game about to open in one spanking day, there's no better time to bring this up than now!

As many of you are probably aware, Homestuck trolls like to Write With Funny Quirks And Colors that can be understandably grating on the reader. We playing them want to impinge on your ocular sensibilities as little as possible, so we've put together a permissions post for those of you who would prefer us not to use troll quirks for single or multiple characters. In the post, you'll find examples explaining each quirk, so you can see for yourself how much you love or hate them!

If you don't respond to the post, we'll assume that you're fine being tagged with any of the trolls' quirks. But don't feel pressured to decide now! There's no problem at all with replying to the post at a later time, after you've had a chance to find Kanaya's text hard to see or Terezi's l33t speak annoying. We won't be offended! I can't emphasize enough how much we want to make things easy on you.

Oh, and she's kind of dead from her world. But no big deal--she's a hamsteak, they die all the time! /handwaves

S'up guys? My name's Zi (I used to go by Saica, if that rings any bells whatsoever) and I'll be bringing in Conner Kent (alias Superboy) from DC Comics! He's AU in that he was a clone raised from infancy, as opposed to being a fully-grown teenager, and has basically lived his entire life in Smallville, Kansas.

He goes heroing sometimes, but it's nothing special compared to his canon, pre-reboot counterpart! Oh, and he's got all of Superman's powers plus tactiletelekinesis--and if you're smart, you won't ask him what that means. :|;;

Also, I, unfortunately, had to clean up the pages a bit, so that meant sweeping people who haven't gotten back to me at all about staying in the game... If I did so and you want to stay, please contact me. I promise I won't bite. ♥ I'd love to have you guys for the final season!

Important 3rd Season info and Updates!

Okay everyone, time to bust your calendars out--because I have some dates and announcements for you~

Our pre-season 4th wall event will be on March 16th! Hopefully we'll get some new members from this, and ones that we'll be able to get CR for prior to the start of the game because yes, it's another in-game 4th wall event~
Applications and reserves open April 14th!
The last season will begin May 19th, 11:59am EST. Yep, I'm making it a morning start this time around! This...is for slightly selfish reasons since my brain is usually pretty dead by the time it gets towards midnight, and damnit, I don't want people to have to wait on me while I sleep.

But...dates aren't the only things I have for you. Nope! I've updated the mod journal and cleaned some things up! Every link now should link to dreamwidth-based pages. (And if it doesn't please let me know!) But aside from that, the biggest changes I made were to the following:

The Profiles! The code is no longer broken! The links are updated and all the dates I listed above are listed there as well.
The Premise! It's been updated to reflect how things have progressed and how the stakes are greater for the third season.
The Town Features page! More specifically, the NPC section. Bit of a formatting change as well as an update about each character, like what happened to them in the past and where they are now. (Long story short? Everyone's location is a mystery!)
The Application page! I added a portion to the app asking whether that character was in the 4th wall event or not, and...I adjusted the application requirements. Shaved them down a bit, and added a note asking people not to be intimidated by the length of the sample apps. Hopefully...these changes will encourage more people to app. I also changed the notes about returning characters to reflect changes made at the end of the second season. (And I'll talk about this more in a moment!)
The FAQ page! Simple additions with a "where to begin" explanation and how the game works, as well as ones for quick-time events and the 4th wall event CR.
And the biggest: The Plot Summary page! It was in sore need of updating, but now all links from all seasons have their dreamwidth equivalents!

Those were the biggest changes that had to be made, and as we get closer to the start of the game, I'll be making more additions/changes as they are needed. But as you may notice, some of the pages aren't quite complete, namely the Taken, Contact, and Permissions pages. That's where you guys come in!

Things I need from you all:

I'm screening the entry, since this is confidential info, but if you feel more comfortable sending it to me via email, send it here, please! If you can, please send me this info as soon as you can. The sooner, the better <3

As a note, the above information update is technically an activity/interest check. If I don't receive any information from you by the time Apps and Reserves open (April 14th), I'm going to bite the bullet and remove you from the game :( If you are removed and want to get back in, all you'll need to do is just re-apply (and if you want to canon update during that time, please do so!) Your character will get their memories back of their time in Luministi once they're back in town.

Also, I'll need something else prior to the start of the game. Yes, this is the dreaded returning characters requirement thing. Last time, I had you guys send me an update to your character histories, namely what happened to them since leaving Luministi. I am going to ask for the same thing this time (but if you aren't updating your character too much or not at all, please say so as well!) This also goes for those who didn't go home. You don't have to give a detailed rundown of everything that happened. A general synopsis is all I'll need~ (Hell, it could be a couple sentences and it'd be cool.)

In addition to this, I'm also going to ask what part of your character's world had appeared during the dreams plot and where. Those places did not go away at the end of the game! They're still in the town... And start thinking of something else that you'd like to appear from your character's world. (But not people, sadly.) I'm not going to need the second thing now, but...start thinking. I'll need this by, at the latest, May 1st. (But don't worry, I'll be reminding you all about this once we get closer to the start of the app/reserve opening~

Okay, so! I'm going to advertise for the 4th wall in the next app_this_plz, but start spreading the word to friends and such now! (And if you want to point them to the apps page if they're interested, then get them started! The app won't be changing.) And hey, if you guys want to request any characters you would like to see in the game or in the 4th wall, please go request some now! I kept the ones from last season there, and if you have any changes/additions, please let me know so I can get a list together for March's ATP! I'll ask if there are any changes to the list before the April one too.

Community poll results

Okay everyone! After seeing everyone's comments, and after playing around in Dreamwidth myself, I think it's safe to say that we're going to move over there!

And we can do that as soon as today if people are interested. I have an account there that can enable me to move comm data and such, and I just tested it with the Logs comm (as seen here)! You'll notice that most entries lost icons and such, but another game has an easy way to get a few of them back so it's not just a blank space, which can be found here. It's kinda nifty, even if it is a bit tedious.

Ah, you might also notice that I haven't really set up anything at the comms yet, so the layout is that basic black/white one that so won't be there once I tackle it and I'll have figured out how to fix my coding for the profile pages too.

Thankfully, since we are a small game, a transfer won't take that long at all or stress the servers like some of the bigger games, so the full import could be all set in like...half an hour, or even less than. I'm thinking since we've yet to start off-season entries and such, why don't we inaugurate the new comm with a comm-wide post? I have an idea about how I want to do it, but I didn't want to put it up and then be like, "HEY WE'RE MOVING! \o/".

So, I'm going to move everything over Monday, January 16th (which is tomorrow!), but I won't put up the entry until Tuesday, so people have some time to get journals set and such. (And I hope this isn't too soon or sudden for people... Thankfully, we have the advantage of being in the off-season, so not too much is going on.)

And to make things a bit easier, I'm going to leave links for you guys to join the comms ahead of time! (I'll link them again in my last post to the comm tomorrow once the move has taken place.) There is a lot more to change in the mod journal and such, and I'll be asking you guys for updated info and such, but there'll be no rush there. I'm going to do that once I get comm-related links, layouts, and coding all figured out (and that'll take me some time >.>). I'll also be giving you what I'd like to know for entry into the 3rd season. I figure giving it way ahead of the game opening will give you more time to do it.

So, rather than avoid this for a very long while, I'm going to officially bow out of the show now. I have enjoyed playing with each and every one of you. I am very, very sorry for leaving so many half-finished and barely started threads out there. I do intend to bring the Master back properly, next season, but as much as I did want to play this season, it was just bad timing for me in so many ways.

I do hope things go well for all of you, and I truly hope I am able to come back with the Master in tow next season. Thank you, all of you, for the fun, if brief amount of time I was here.
