...Stay for the Meme!

Questions Only Meme!

How it works:

  • Post with your character!
  • Reply to other people with your character by going to RNG for a number between 1 and 8.
  • Take that corresponding scenario (made using various town landmarks) and set it up briefly, then--
  • --Reply to the thread starter with a question and go from there!
  • The idea is to keep a conversation going only using questions, but if you find that you can't possibly ask another question, answer it and then re-roll for a new scenario! (This game is based around the Whose Line Is It Anyway? version, but in that, if you couldn't respond with a question (or took too long) you'd be swapped out with someone else.)

Possible Scenarios:
»One: Fun times in the town pavilion! Many things go on at any given time in the park. Local musicians play at the gazebo, various clubs meet there for activities, and it's a very popular spot for the odd picnic or two. Plus the fishing is always fantastic, and the stone sundial in the southern part of the park adds an interesting touch to the whole picture.

»Two: Pool party at Luministi Greens East/West! Be it lounging at the pool side with a cool drink close at hand or cannonballing poor sunbathers, the pools in both Luministi Greens neighborhoods are always warm and refreshing!

»Three: Lost in the botanical gardens... Looking at the map, one might think there isn't much to the botanical gardens, but once you step in beyond the outer gates, it's almost like stepping into a new world. Located adjacent to the river is the palm house with many wonderful and exotic flora, but outside it, well...there are several hedgemazes to lose yourselves in, but you'll have company, at least, in the various topiary animals and statues set around the grounds.

»Four: Date at The Chrysalis~ Luministi's own treehouse restaurant is the epitome of fine and exquisite dining. No other restaurant in town can possibly compare.

»Five: Happy hour at the White Rabbit Pub. Come on in and enjoy a pint or three! There's always a game on the TV, but if drinking and yelling at sports players isn't your thing, there are dart boards around and other tables to sit away from the rowdy crowd of sports patrons. Of course, there's always hanging out at the bar and chatting with the bartenders, and don't be afraid to order something off the menu; the pub food is criminally fantastic!

»Six: Movie time at the Janus Theatre! The Janus Theatre is the best and most innovative of movie theatres around, and its snacks are super affordable. How they can dare to put the prices so low is anyone's guess, but once you've chosen your movie, and enjoy! And hey, if you're feeling like a little fresh air, go and see what's playing in the "drive-in" outdoors theatre! Grab a blanket or lawn chair, and have fun!

»Seven: Hanging out at the malt shop. Whether a vintage malt shake is what will whet your palette, or some authentic diner food, this retro diner has it all--even a jukebox filled with a vast area of songs and an open area for dancing if it strikes your fancy! Plus there's an adjoining ice cream shop that can put Baskin Robbin's to shame three ways from next Tuesday!

»Eight: Your choice! Choose from the above or create your own! Go as outlandish as you want~

[he taps Jamie on the shoulder and indicates the jukebox] Such as the machine over there- and how I could operate it?
bonnypiperlad: (puzzled2)

[Jamie looks at the jukebox rather blankly.] What does that do, do ye think?
desertdaggers: (you don't say)

Maybe it's some kind of entertainment?
bonnypiperlad: (puzzled)

What kind of entertainment can ye get out of a box?

Don't you think we'll only find out if we try it out? [heading over to poke at it and see how he can get it to work]
bonnypiperlad: (Heeeey...)

[personal profile] bonnypiperlad 2011-06-24 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
[With a shrug, he follows.] Hey, why don't ye try pressing that thing there?
desertdaggers: (and a clear blue sky)

[personal profile] desertdaggers 2011-06-24 07:53 am (UTC)(link)
[and with the button pressed, the jukebox begins to play some Elvis. Hawk laughs.] Music! Ah, do you think that's the only one it does?
bonnypiperlad: (hmm)

[personal profile] bonnypiperlad 2011-06-24 09:03 am (UTC)(link)
[Jamie's finger hovers over another button.] Should I try this one, do ye think?
desertdaggers: (you don't say)

[personal profile] desertdaggers 2011-06-24 11:51 am (UTC)(link)
If that's the one that appeals to you, why wouldn't you?
bonnypiperlad: (puzzled2)

[He nods, and does so just as the Elvis song comes to a close. The jukebox picks up with 'Paperback Writer' by the Beatles, which Jamie has heard before, even if he doesn't quite remember it.]

Hey? Why does that sound familiar?
desertdaggers: (these are sharp)

[personal profile] desertdaggers 2011-06-25 11:14 am (UTC)(link)
[He listens, head tilted to one side.] Couldn't say… maybe you've heard it before somewhere else?
bonnypiperlad: (slightly confused)

[personal profile] bonnypiperlad 2011-06-26 08:31 am (UTC)(link)
Where could I have heard that, though? [They don't have anything like that back in Scotland.]
desertdaggers: (bugs mean poison)

[personal profile] desertdaggers 2011-06-26 08:56 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm… well, what else produces music like this?
bonnypiperlad: (you can't be serious)

You're asking me?
